About the Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for an energetic Customer Service Officer to join a team of 8 in the fast-paced Derrimut Customer Service Centre. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:30pm role, with a roster that includes 2 x half-day Saturdays per month (paid on top of your salary). 

As a phone based role, you will primarily be responsible for taking sales orders for recycled concrete aggregates and road based products. Working closely with Key Account Managers and Production Teams, you will also check stock levels and schedule deliveries throughout the Melbourne metro area. 

About You

It goes without saying that excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills will be crucial to your success in this role, but you'll also need a positive attitude, professional phone manner and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and busy environment.

Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a telephone-based logistics or customer service role, with a combination of excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple competing demands while under pressure.

You will have high-level numeracy skills with the ability to calculate orders quickly over the phone, as well as a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Outlook).

While not mandatory, any experience gained working with aggregates, construction materials, concrete and/or using Microsoft Navision and Enwis software in particular or ERP platforms in general will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

If you're keen to increase your take-home pay, all Saturday half-day shifts are paid on top of your salary, with the opportunity to cover shifts and take on additional work if desired.
