About the Opportunity
Alex Fraser now has a fantastic opportunity for a Skip Bin Dispatcher to join our team based at the Derrimut call centre. This is a full-time role working 6.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday, with up to 2 Saturdays a month.
This is a diverse position that will see you overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple company trucks. This will include allocating loads for skip bins to go out to site and coordinating logistics for Drivers in relation to routes and scheduling of work.
Other duties will include:
- Organising unloads and changeover of bins;
- Liaising with customers either over the phone or via site visit/s to understand their needs and prepare quotes for services;
- Providing regular support to the call centre/customer service team as required, including handling incoming customer and sales enquiries;
- Liaising closely with the sales and transport departments; and
- General transport administrative duties as required.
About You
This is a fast-paced and high-volume environment. As such, it's critical you possess some previous experience in an allocations and/or similar role within the transport industry, ideally with some exposure to working specifically with skip bins.
You will need to have strong knowledge of the metro area, with the ability to work under pressure and think on your feet to solve problems if and when they arise. A customer service focus will also be a must, along with a strong work-ethic and a great attitude.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a genuine desire to work as part of a team, whilst still having the ability to 'self-start' and make autonomous decisions as required.
Please note: A current, open Driver's License is a requirement of this position.
